Decocer has won the Pyme 2018 Award from Expansión and Ifema
Decocer is one of the companies that has picked up an award at the 14th Pyme Awards from the Expansión and Ifema newspaper. An award which was presented by Ángel Garrido, the President of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, on Dec 10th at the Ifema exhibition.
Six awards were given out among the 152 initial candidates who came from all over the country, whose main goal was to ensure visibility and recognition regarding the effort and work carried out by small and medium-sized Spanish companies.
The award for “employment creation”
Vicente Gozalbo, Decocer’s managing director, picked up the award which recognises job creation in the tiling industry after the credit crunch. Also, due to the decrease in valance demands, in which it specialised, the firm was able to see that there were considerable difficulties on the horizon, which therefore meant a change of direction towards new and better opportunities in the sector. It changed from being a company that dealt in decorative items to one that is now considered as being a benchmark in the development and production of small-sized ceramic wall tiles and floor tiles.
Today, Decocer can see how the workforce that it had before the credit crunch has doubled by some 94 new employees. This is an impressive growth rate, which has been driven by its commitment to not only technological ceramic innovation and globalisation, but also to a new website and a new visual image.
